Stonemasons named the stone Calacatta in honour of the city Calcutta in India and is one of three major stone types quarried in the Carrara region of Italy. One must understand that the name covers many different varieties of stones with a white – milky white background with dramatic grey to taupe coloured veining. Calacatta Extra

– A popular choice for clients wanting a Tuscan inspired residential or commercial design. The veining of the stone ranges from gold to grey and is a dramatic stone that lends itself well to book match or quarter match floor and wall slabs.
