TFO History

In 2005, Luke Johnson and Len Franco joined forces to create a new model in the retail tile industry. Knowing that the Australian consumer wants the best quality products for the lowest possible prices – the TFO model was opened. With Luke’s experience in the tile division of a successful auction house. Together with Len’s experience as a well-known importer/wholesaler, Tile Factory Outlet was an instant success.

The TFO Experience

In 2009 Luke and Len re-located the business to 107 Warren Road (Cumberland Highway), Smithfield. This proved to be an easy location to get to from anywhere in Sydney. After the move, TFO evolved from a clearance house to the largest single tile store in Australia. Consequently, TFO attracts customers from all over Australia.

In May 2016, Maria Franco joined the board of Directors. Maria is passionate about tiles and has decades of experience. Her interest in fashion and interior design is an asset to TFO. Resulting in TFO continuing to achieve high standards in customer service.

Each year the TFO team visits Cersaie, Italy, the largest and most prestigious tile fair in the world. As well as Marmomacc, the Italian stone fair. There we source the latest designs and innovations in technology.
