Amber Tiles played a key role in the stunning makeover of a Beecroft bungalow by the dynamic renovation trio, Three Birds Renovations.
The principals of Three Birds Renovations, Lana Taylor, Bonnie Hindmarsh and Erin Cayless, left their corporate careers last year in pursuit of a more fulfilling life where they buy, renovate and sell houses – whilst being able to spend more time with their families. They have been close friends for over a decade and also happen to be the partners of NRL identities, Jason Taylor (coach of Wests Tigers) and ex-players Nathan Hindmarsh and Nathan Cayless.
In just 12 months the women have completed three renovations of Sydney suburban homes and have used Amber Tiles as a key component in the works – all of which have resulted in strong profits from the re-sales of the homes.
Three Birds Renovations have just completed the renovation of the four bedroom Beecroft house, which will be auctioned on September 5, 2015. It is the third renovation by the dynamic trio and has been completed in just seven weeks.
The once orange brick house now looks ravishing with its splendid indoor and outdoor areas, all of which feature Amber’s indoor and outdoor tiles – from bathroom walls to a backyard fire pit tiled in Amber’s Bluestone pavers.
The Three Birds have renovated the house in light palettes of cream and white, with the bathrooms and laundry featuring Amber’s popular ranges of Carrara Tiles.
Bonnie Hindmarsh, Chief Designer at Three Birds Renovations, says “The Carrara tiles look just like marble, with their random and patterns and textures, replicating natural marble but at an affordable price. The light palettes of the tiles are contemporary and are a perfect fit for our approach to renovating which to create beautiful, affordable and practical living spaces”.
The outdoor areas, have been totally transformed from the flat lawn bordered by discoloured and cracking concrete to a multitude of alfresco entertaining zones
It now features a dining area, fire pit and alfresco lounge under a white pergola and paved with Amber St Tropez concrete pavers that have been roughly hewn to look exactly like tumbled limestone paving stones, but are easier to clean and more durable.
“Amber’s pavers and tiles are a feature of the outdoor spaces, as they look amazing and provide a seamless connection to the indoor living areas and kitchen.. On the front porch, the porcelain tiles look just like the textures and colours of timber, but at a reasonable price, which is important to us” Bonnie added.
The operations guru of Three Birds Renovations, Erin Cayless, says “the team at Amber Tiles has been very helpful and supportive throughout each of our three renos to date, assisting us with tile selections, pick-ups and deliveries”,
After the successful completion of their third project with Amber Tiles at Beecroft, their next renovation will start soon in Northmead.
